Many people spend their money on hair, pedicures, manicures, designer clothes and expensive outings. I spent mine on vacations. I bought Timeshares in warm climates that boast of being paradise to those of us who spend most of the time in geographical regions with 4 seasons. I vacationed with a group that apparently did the same thing. I spent so much time in St. Martin that people called me summer people.
I seldom had a lot of money to spend. I visited the beaches and spent long hours reading. Most of the resorts had book stores that carried books that we travelers read as we bake in the sun in Paradise like places around the world. I rarely got a chance to take family. We were of meager means and I could not afford the airline tickets. My sister and I traveled to this island several times and made friends with whom we are still in contact.
Now that I am retired, I have even less money. I still have the Timeshares. I send guests. I rent them. I use the ones within driving distance with my 3 grandchildren. We are learning to vacation together. They love it.
I always seem to have time left over at the end of the year and the maintenance fees do not compliment my retirement income. If anyone reading this would like to take a nice vacation for 7 days or less, I advise you to
use this email address and talk to me about your travel desires. Tell me when and where you think you would like to travel and we will plan a beautiful and reasonable vacation together.
